BenQ has launched the BenQ W7000 3D Full HD Home Cinema Projector in India, priced at Rs. 2,46,976. BenQ claims the W7000 is the first projector in the world to be accredited Full HD 3D Certification by TUV Rheinland.
Designed to offer the best 3D cinema experience at home, the BenQ W7000 projector is powered by DLP Link to delivers ultra-smooth images. It features Independent 3D control mode, an optimized optical system, preset mode, user mode adjustment, Frame Interpolation in 2D & 3D , 3D Direct Playback from BluRay & PS3 players, PIP, High Zoom of 1.5:1, Wide range lens shift, Panamorph lens (2.35:1 aspect) compatibility, etc.
The BenQ W7000 is compatible with the latest HDMI standard – Ver. 1.4a, which means it is able to play 3D movies from a Blu-ray DVD player, live sports via cable or satellite and 3D video games on PS3 directly without additional setup. It also features Texas Instrument’s DynamicBlack and Philip’s VIDI lamp technology, which together deliver a 50,000:1 contrast ratio, and a brilliant 2,000AL to counter any ambient room lighting.
Apart from independent 3D colour control, preset mode, and user mode adjustment, the BenQ W7000 gives viewers the freedom to fine-tune hues, contrast, brightness, colour temperature, gamma, and white balance levels to match their individual 2D and 3D viewing preferences.
For optimal colour precision, the BenQ W7000 is built to match one of the highest high-definition video standards seen in professional-grade home projectors today: native Rec. 709 color gamut. It also comes with a special cooling technology to prevent the lamp from overheating thus significantly lowering the cost for lamp replacement. The system is ISFccc-certified by the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF), which enables viewers to enjoy a well-calibrated picture along with two optimized modes – ISF Day and ISF Night.
