With just a few days left before August ends and September comes, the excitement of Apple fans is just growing by the day. Even though there hasn’t been any communication from Apple in this regard, rumours and leaks are flooding the internet. Now, Apple analyst Mark Gurman has shared that Apple might also unveil a new lineup of AirPods this September.

As shared in his Power On newsletter for Bloomberg, Gurman said that Apple might unveil the new AirPods lineup with significant upgrades. He further added that the company is planning to unveil not one, but two new AirPods 4 models.

What can these new AirPods offer?

Both of these AirPods might feature in-ear designs and a USB-C charging port, marking the first time this port will be included in the non-Pro series. Both the AirPods will cater to a different market. The entry-level ones will offer more basic features and will be more affordable. The more expensive one will offer active noise canceling (ANC) capabilities and is likely to support wireless charging.

The vanilla AirPods 4 will most likely replace the current AirPods 2, while the premium model with ANC will be an updated version of the AirPods 3. We might even get to see a design change on both the new AirPod models. Both will be slightly different from each other.

Further, Apple can also unveil a new software update for its AirPods Pro 2. The upcoming iOS 18 update may introduce a “hearing aid mode” that combines the Conversation Boost and Live Listen features.

I will still recommend that we take this news with a pinch of salt as Apple is yet to share official details about the launch of these devices. But stay tuned as I will bring you all the latest updates right here.
