Some good news concerning Apple’s manufacturing and assembling endeavours in India. First, TATA GROUP became one of the assemblers for Apple in India. While another Apple assembler, Foxconn has decided to invest $500 million for the setup of manufacturing plants in Telangana. This was confirmed by the state's IT Minister, K.T. Rama Rao.
The minister also informed that this will provide job opportunities for 25,000 people just in the first phase.

A report in March from Reuters stated that Foxconn has won a huge order from Apple for manufacturing AirPods and they were planning to make a factory for the same. So, now it is clear where Foxconn is setting up the new manufacturing plant.
The shifting of mass production of Apple products from China started during and after the pandemic, when different restrictions were imposed, and India is becoming a new focal point for high-end electronics goods manufacturing.
