Meta Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced its new mixed-reality (MR) headset ‘Meta Quest 3’ earlier this year, and said that it would be launched later this year. Now, the company has finally launched the Quest 3 headset. According to Meta, this new headset is the world’s first mass-market MR headset. Here you can check its price, availability, features, performance, display, and more.
Meta Quest 3 will be available on October 10, and can be pre-ordered now. It starts at $499.99 for the 128GB version and $649.99 for those who want a larger storage capacity of 512GB.

Meta Quest 3 comes with double the graphic processing power of Quest 2. It is said to be the first device to feature the new Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 platform. Also, it offers fast load times, and crisp details in immersive games.
The new MR headset comes with 4K+ Infinite Display which achieves a nearly 30 percent leap in resolution compared to Meta Quest 2. Users will get 25 pixels per degree and 1,218 pixels per inch for the best resolution across the entire Quest line.

Meta Quest 3’s redesigned, thinner profile features a more customisable fit and balanced weight distribution than Quest 2, to provide users with maximum comfort. “Wearing your headset over your glasses? Adjusting to fit your hairstyle and face shape? We’ve got you covered with our soft adjustable strap design,” the company said.
The new MR headset comes with enhanced sound clarity and bass performance plus a 40 percent louder audio range than Quest 2. It also features a 40 percent slimmer optic profile compared to Quest 2 without compromising users’ depth of visual immersion.
