Apple has completely revamped its AirPods line-up, launching as many as four new models during the Glowtime event. The base AirPods with open-fit style have two variants – one with ANC and one without them. This makes the AirPods 4 the first open-fit AirPods by Apple to get ANC.
Apple’s most expensive AirPods Max didn’t get any major upgrade apart from new colours and a type-port. They retain their price from the last generation. Along with this, Apple also launched the AirPods Pro 2 with ANC and in-ear fit.
The Apple AirPods 4 comes with a new and ‘more comfortable’ design. Moreover, Apple has also launched the AirPods 4 with a smaller and more portable case, which is equipped with a USB-C Port. Apple has promised a 30-hour battery life with the AirPods 4 and they have launched in the US for $129.
Furthermore, Apple has announced another model, the Apple AirPods 4, which is the first AirPod with Active Noise Cancellation in open-fit AirPods. There are many ANC features on these earbuds such as Transparency Mode, Adaptive Audio Mode, which switches the transparency based on your environment, and Conversation Awareness, which adjusts the volume when you start speaking to someone. They are equipped with Apple’s H2 chip and feature wireless charging and personalised spatial audio.
Unfortunately, Apple did not announce the next generation Apple AirPods Pro but it has upgraded the existing ones. The current AirPods 2 Pro have also seen an upgrade. They now come with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and in-ear fit.
During the Glowtime event, Apple also unveiled the revamped AirPods Max. You get new colours. This includes Midnight, Blue, Purple, Orange, and Starlight. On top of that, you even get a personalised Spatial Audio feature on it now. Also, keeping in mind the requirements of various markets, Apple is offering a Type-C charging port this time. The AirPods Max starts at $549.
