Zomato has launched its new iOS app complete with a new user interface and mood based recommendations.
Zomato, the online mobile restaurant guide has updated its iOS app. The new app has an improved user interface and some new features like mood based recommendations. The Zomato updated app is now available in the iTunes App Store.
The updated Zomato app has a much simpler user interface, in line with the redesigned Zomato website. It features a large home screen that comes with swappable images of nearby restaurants and users have an option to browse and search for restaurants by entering keywords for name, cuisine, dish or location.
The app has a separate screen for location based restaurants search through which users can filter restaurants based on the distance from their current location. Users can also apply filters such as ratings, cuisine or budget to find a restaurant.
It has a Browse Restaurants option that takes you to a menu that offers mood-based recommendations. Users have an option to choose from getting food home delivered, going out for drinks, going out for a meal or just catching up with friends. The next step is choosing the location of the restaurant after which, the app lists a selection of restaurants based on your criteria.
The new Zomato app also a ‘Featured Content’ section that lists the top 25 restaurants, featured reviews as well as other content. Users can also post pictures along with their reviews of restaurants they’ve visited. Users can also mark restaurants to their wish list or favorite them or mark them as ‘been there’ on the restaurants listing.
