Music is one of the oldest means of expression, and most of us just can’t resist blasting a few tunes in the background while we work. While there are plenty of apps for playing music available, like Spotify, plenty of people still turn to YouTube to find and play music by various artists. Each year, YouTube creates recap videos for various forms of content ranging from the influencers who ruled the platform, the issues people were most interested in, and even the music each user listened to most frequently. The brand’s Music Recap functions as a great walk down memory lane, taking users through the tracks they loved the most and triggering (hopefully) positive memories in the process.

This year, Youtube’s Music Recap comes with a fun artistic twist that will certainly enhance the experience for users. Song listings will be accompanied by corresponding artwork that is reminiscent of the fluid lines and bubble-esque fonts one typically associates with the 1960s and 1970s. Song entries like “Your Music Personality is…” can be shared on social media too.
How to access the YouTube 2022 Music Recap?
To have a look at what YouTube has curated for you, all you need to do is open the YouTube Music app on your smartphone. You’ll be able to see a host of information about your top artists, albums, and songs, along with other metrics with titles like identity, hard-to-find content, and top trends.
YouTube has also integrated this feature with Google Photos this year, allowing users to integrate different photographs with song titles to really create a personalised, nostalgic experience.
In case you don’t use the YouTube Music app, you can always open your regular YouTube app and access the same data by searching “2022 Recap”.
