YouTube has finally launched Playables for all users. For those who are unaware, Playables are games that can be played directly on YouTube. The company started testing this feature in September last year. A similar gaming experience is also provided by the streaming giant Netflix.

“Noticed anything different on YouTube lately? Over the past few months, a limited number of users in select markets have been testing a new feature called Playables — a collection of free games you can play directly on the platform,” the company announced in a blogpost.

According to YouTube, more than 75 games are now available to play directly on the platform.

YouTube describes Playables as a fun, interactive way to experience the platform — with lightweight, entertaining games like Angry Birds Showdown, Words of Wonders, Cut the Rope, Tomb of the Mask, and Trivia Crack and more.

You can also save your game progress and track your all-time best scores.

How to access Playables games on YouTube

Step 1: Head to the main YouTube Home page, either on desktop or the iOS and Android app and find Playables from the Explore menu.

In my opinion, the launch of YouTube’s Playables feature is a significant move that enhances the platform’s versatility and engagement. With a diverse range of games and the ability to save progress and track scores, Playables is expected to attract a broader audience, including casual gamers looking for quick and fun gaming sessions without the need to download separate apps.
