According to Yaccarino, the upcoming X TV app will offer “real-time, engaging content”. Also, she said that this app will be your “go-to companion” for a “high-quality, immersive entertainment experience on a larger screen.”
The X TV app will feature a trending video algorithm, helping users to stay updated with tailored popular content.
The app will incorporate AI-powered topics to organise videos by subject. It will also offer seamless cross-device functionality, allowing users to start watching a video on their phone and then continue watching it on your TV.
Moreover, the X TV app is said to come with enhanced video search. Yaccarino said that the app will be available to “most smart TVs” soon.
Yaccarino also provided a sneak peek at the interface of the X TV app, which bears a resemblance to that of YouTube.
The company disclosed last month that 4 out of every 5 user sessions on X involve video watching video. Moreover, the platform’s overall video views are experiencing a growth rate of 35% year over year with a 17% increase in the average time spent watching videos.
