Elon Musk-owned social media platform X (formerly Twitter) is facing a major outage globally, including in India. According to Downdetector, an online outage-tracking platform, thousands of users have reported issues, with over 350 complaints in India and more than 7,300 in the US.
Typically, when online services go down, users flock to X to share their frustrations, report issues, and seek updates. However, with X itself experiencing a disruption, many users have been left without their go-to platform for real-time discussions. Interestingly, some users were still able to post about the outage..
Despite the widespread disruption, X has yet to acknowledge the issue or provide an estimated resolution time. As of now, users can only wait for X’s team to resolve the issue.
This is not the first time X has faced issues this month. Earlier this month, the platform experienced two major outages. Elon Musk later claimed that X was targeted by a ‘massive cyberattack.’ He also suggested that the attack was well-coordinated and may have been carried out by either a large, coordinated group or a country.
