The feature is still in alpha stage and does not have a release date
The feature should be available for both Android and iOS devices
You will now be able to search for your messages on WhatsApp by date. The company announced that it is working on the search feature, making it easier for users to search for particular messages. First reported by WABetaInfo, the feature is still in the alpha stage and there is no launch date for the feature either. The search feature will come with a calendar icon that will help users pick out the particular date when the messages were sent. The feature should be available on both Android and iOS devices. The advanced search feature will be helpful for workplaces and such, giving users the option to communicate without any hassles. In fact, the company is also working on another feature that could be coming soon. As reported earlier, WhatsApp is looking at adding multi-device support and you can read more about that story here.
In other WhatsApp news, the company will now allow users to add contacts by just scanning their profile QR codes. You can read more about that here. The company has also restored the video status limit to 30 seconds in India. You can read more about that here.
