WhatsApp will soon allow users to make group poll interesting: Here’s how
WhatsApp's new feature lets channel owners add images to poll options for better engagement.
Users will be required to add photos to all poll options for consistency.
The image polling feature is initially available for channels and may expand to groups and individual chats soon.
WhatsApp is currently working on a new feature that will allow users to add images to polls. According to reports, the Meta-owned instant messaging platform has launched a new Android beta version that enables channel owners to attach photos to poll options. The company wants to make the polls more engaging and visually appealing.
The feature allows channel owners to assign a specific photo to each poll option, providing a visual element to the voting process. These photos will provide a clearer representation of each option, making it easier for users to vote on their preferences. The feature can be useful for businesses in design, food, travel, and fashion. For example, an apparel store channel owner will now be able to collect insights and orders using Channels’ poll options.
To maintain consistency, adding a photo to one poll option necessitates including photos in all other options as well. This allows voters to compare all of the options in the same visual context while ensuring that each option is represented equally.

At the moment, only WhatsApp channels can use images as poll options (in the beta version). Before expanding the feature to group chats and individual conversations, WhatsApp wants to collect user feedback and improve the feature before final rollout. The feature is expected to make its public debut in the coming weeks, along with other updates.
However, it is unclear when WhatsApp will add the feature to groups and individual chats, allowing friends, family, colleagues, and loved ones to use photos in polls. It is worth noting that the messaging platform has not provided an exact rollout timeline.
In the meantime, users can expect more updates as WhatsApp improves its polling capabilities and introduces new options for enhanced user interaction.
