Status likes

Ever wanted to let someone know you liked their status without typing out a response? Well, WhatsApp’s new Status likes feature allows you to do just that with just a tap. When you like someone’s status, they’ll see a little heart next to your name in their list of viewers. The best part? It’s private. Only the person whose status you liked will be able to see it.

Private mentions

Another cool feature is Private mentions. Now, you can mention specific people in your WhatsApp Status to make sure they see it. When you mention someone, they’ll receive a notification about it, but this won’t be visible to others who view your status. Plus, they’ll have the option to reshare your status with their own audience if they want to.

These features are starting to roll out globally, so if you don’t see them yet, don’t worry, they’ll be available soon.

In my opinion, these updates will make WhatsApp Status even more engaging. I believe users will love these features, especially the Status likes, which add a touch of appreciation without any extra effort. These additions feel very similar to Instagram’s popular features, like its heart-react and tagging system.
