WhatsApp is back on Windows Phone platform after a couple of week's absence. The app, an updated one, comes with a slew of new features as well.
WhatsApp for Windows Phone v2.11.490 features chat backgrounds, broadcast lists, privacy settings, media auto-download settings, custom notification tones and various enhancements and bug fixes, making it as good as its versions on Android and iOS.

A couple of weeks ago WhatsApp pulled its app from Windows Phone citing some technical issues. “WhatsApp chose to unpublish their app from the Windows Phone Store after discovering an issue with how notifications are being handled on Windows Phone 8, Update 3,” Microsoft is quoted as saying.
Since then, WhatsApp was working with Microsoft to fix the issue.
