The interface has been revamped with the inclusion of new icons, aimed at providing users with a more modern and visually appealing experience.

WhatsApp is also introducing a new green colour as the predominant theme for both light and dark modes, along with a fresh colour look for chat bubbles and the floating action button.

It’s worth noting that this interface update is also accessible to a select group of beta testers who have installed the latest WhatsApp Business beta update.

This change not only demonstrates WhatsApp’s commitment to enhancing its interface but also indicates the platform’s attentiveness to user feedback and alignment with modern design trends. Many users have long requested such a redesign, and it’s evident that WhatsApp is responding to these demands by keeping its app interface modern and user-centric, the report said.

WhatsApp is also reportedly working on a new group chat events feature. This feature is expected to allow users to create events for the group chats. This feature will likely be helpful for scheduling and organising activities in group chats or managing personal reminders efficiently. Users might be able to create an event with all details, including the event’s name, date, time and location. These message events are expected to be end-to-end encrypted, ensuring that only participants in the conversation have access to them. Once an event is created, it will likely be added to the conversation automatically.
