WhatsApp grabbed a lot of attention after it introduced Meta AI for users at different locations. Now the report suggests that the Meta-owned platform can introduce the new widget that will allow users to access Meta AI directly from their Home Screen. According to a WaBetaInfo report, the new feature was spotted in the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.25.1.27 update. The new feature aims to offer easy access to MetaAI without having to open WhatsApp.

As per the reports, the widget is optional and will be available for the users who have access to the AI-powered chats—a feature currently limited to select regions and users. After it is available, the widget will allow users to initiate a conversation with Meta AI directly from their Home Screen without navigating via the WhatsApp interface. The widget will include a shortcut for users to capture and share a photo with Meta AI, enabling tasks such as photo edits or content analysis right from the widget.

However, the feature is currently under development and is expected to roll out for users in the coming weeks. It will be able to save time for all the Meta AI users by eliminating the extra steps like opening the applications.

Meanwhile, the Meta-owned instant messaging platform is working on a new feature that will allow users to create and customize their own AI chatbots within the application. This feature allows users to create AI companions by describing their personalities, objectives, and tasks. The AI behaviour will be tailored to the user’s input for tasks such as motivating or managing various things. There is no official timeline for the feature, but we anticipate that it will be released in the coming weeks.
