Meta-owned instant messaging platform WhatsApp is widely rolling out a feature on iOS that allows users to create a new group chat while forwarding messages.
Even though the official changelog didn’t mention it, known WhatsApp tipster publication, WABetaInfo, confirmed that a feature to quickly create new group chats is available after installing WhatsApp for iOS 23.17.71 update.

If users want to check whether this new feature is enabled for their account, they just have to forward a message to see if the new shortcut to create a new group chat is visible within the forwarding screen.

The feature is expected to help users by saving time, and allowing them to create groups when they see a particular message that inspires them to connect with their specific contacts in a single space.
The report further mentioned that if someone doesn't have this feature, they don’t need to worry as some accounts might receive it over the coming weeks.
It was reported last week that Meta-owned platform WhatsApp had started testing a feature to quickly send original quality photos and videos, aiming to make it easier for users to share media with original quality. This feature is expected to eliminate the need to browse through multiple menus or folders.
Last month, Meta CEO and Founder Mark Zuckerberg announced a new feature that allows WhatsApp users to create groups without having a name, making the group naming optional. However, it is limited to groups that have up to six people added. When users try to make a group with six people, they don't need to add a name, but in the case of more people, naming the group is mandatory.
Without a name, a WhatsApp group will appear different to everyone. For example, if you are added to a group with people who do not have your contact saved, your phone number will appear within the group name. The feature was launched in addition to the option of starting a group without having a profile photo.
