It’s important to note that this news is not limited to WhatsApp for Windows alone. WhatsApp has also enabled support for sending view once messages from WhatsApp for macOS and linked devices.
The reinstatement of the feature to send view once messages from Desktop apps offers several benefits to users. This reintroduction finally empowers users to share photos and videos that are viewable only once, thereby preventing their storage in the device’s memory and ensuring a higher level of privacy.
This feature also keeps sensitive stuff temporary, even when sending from a computer, giving users more control. Many users were upset when this feature was removed last year, showing how important it is. This change proves WhatsApp listens to users and cares about what they want.
Last month, it was reported that WhatsApp had started working on a new search message by date feature for the web client. This feature is expected to allow users to search for messages shared on a specific date. For this new feature, the messaging platform could add a calendar button. This calendar button might allow users to open a date picker panel, making it easier for them to search for a message shared on a specific date.
