Meta-owned instant messaging platform WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature for channels. The new feature is expected to make it possible to create and share polls in WhatsApp Channels.
According to a known WhatsApp tipster publication, WABetaInfo, the messaging platform is working on the ability to share polls in channels.

When you take part in a channel poll, your phone number will likely remain hidden, ensuring that it’s not shared with the channel owner or other followers.
In our opinion, channel owners can use polls to gather valuable feedback from their followers. This feature will be useful for content creators and businesses to better understand the preferences and opinions of their audience. This feedback can be used to tailor content or make important decisions.
Also, polls will encourage active participation from followers and will increase the overall engagement level within a channel. This will lead to a stronger sense of community and interaction.
For those who are unaware, WhatsApp Channels were launched in India in September. Channels are a one-way broadcast tool for admins to send text, photos, videos, stickers, and polls. In WhatsApp Channels, users can react using emojis to give feedback and see a count of total reactions. Also, whenever users forward an Update to chats or groups it will include a link back to the channel so that people can find out more.
It’s worth noting that following a channel won’t reveal your phone number to the admin or other followers. Who you decide to follow is your choice and it’s private.
