WhatsApp has rolled out a new update for the Beta users of the app. The update has brought a few new features including support for WhatsApp on Android Tablets. Let’s check out this update in detail!

WhatsApp beta 2.22.24.8: What’s new?

The new Beta update brings support to link an Android tablet with an existing WhatsApp account. This feature works similar to WhatsApp Desktop and some beta testers can even use their WhatsApp account on a tablet right now.

According to a report by WABetaInfo, the company is planning to introduce “WhatsApp for tablet” by using a new in-app banner that will show up in a future update of the app. The banner will inform users that a version of WhatsApp for tablets is available for their account.

You can try the the Tablet app and if you see a QR code screen after opening the app on your tablet, it means you can finally link your tablet to your existing WhatsApp account. However, if that’s not the case, you’ll have to wait for a future update.
