Recently, Meta announced an AI chatbot for its social media platforms such as Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook Messenger in the US. This happened at the Connect 2023 event in Düsseldorf, Germany. In the latest development, the AI Assistant is now rumoured to be featured in a beta version of WhatsApp. This means the Meta AI assistant is being tested in WhatsApp. Interestingly, if this is true then the Meta AI Assistant could go global soon.
The WhatsApp AI assistant will work the same way as the Meta AI assistant. It will be like any other AI chatbot. For those who haven’t used any AI chatbots yet, Meta will feature this AI assistant to WhatsApp to answer all your queries.
According to a report by WABetaInfo, there will be a separate chat of the AI assistant. It is also said to come for group chats as well as for one-on-one chats. You will be able to access the AI assistant by tapping a new circular button on the bottom right corner. This means it won’t be very difficult to search for the WhatsApp AI assistant.
Further, the report adds that the WhatsApp Android 2.23.24.26 beta is now available on the Google Play Store for testers. If you are a part of WhatsApp’s beta programme, you can download the beta version for Android. However, for iOS users, it is yet to come.

In WhatsApp, we are not sure what else this AI chatbot will do. Because Meta AI assistant is so much more than this. The Meta AI assistant is powered by Llama 2, to help you with your queries. Further, it can also make text-generative images. Basically, you give it a prompt and it will generate an AI-based picture of it. Along with that, it also includes the likes of big celebrities such as Snoop Dog, Kendall Jenner, Chris Paul, MrBeast, and 24 others.
