JioSafe is a secure video-calling platform. It is a subscription-based platform and users can use it by paying a monthly subscription fee of Rs 199. It is available for both Android and iOS users. But as a part of the launch offer, JioSafe will be available for free for a year. Classic Jio move.

What makes JioSafe so special?

JioSafe

You can use it to send text messages, and even for audio and video calls. But this is exclusively between JioSafe users. With JioSafe, Jio claims that this app offers five levels of protection, making it “hack-proof.”

You can engage in both individual and group video calls on JioSafe using a Secure Room feature that can accommodate up to five users. The calls made on this app are encrypted and authenticated, and the app uses Jio 5G’s quantum-secure network. To avoid potential threats, JioSafe marks secure contacts with a shield icon.

Who can use JioSafe?

JioSafe

Not everyone can use it either, it only functions on a 5G smartphone with a Jio SIM card connected to a 5G network. Users who wish to use JioSafe need to have a data plan with unlimited 5G data.

To use the JioSafe app, you will have to give it access to all saved contacts to analyse other JioSafe users. You can even invite others by sending an invite SMS with a download link from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

Will you use JioSafe or will you use the existing apps? Let me know in the comments.
