Major digital payment platforms, including Google Pay and Paytm, are affected by the outage, preventing users from completing transactions. Many frustrated users turned to social media to report issues.
On Downdetector, an outage monitoring site, there are over 3,000 reports. Of these, 81% of users reported issues with payments, 14% experienced problems with fund transfers, and 5% faced difficulties with app functionality.

Update: Acknowledging the outage, National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has now posted on X, “NPCI had faced intermittent technical issues owing to which UPI had partial decline. The same has been addressed now and the system has stabilised. Regret the inconvenience.”
