Twitter has launched its Fabric app for developers who have already incorporated Fabric and Crashlytics SDK into their apps. It allows developers to keep track of the statistics of their app such as monthly active users and average length of user sessions. The app will also push notifications to let the developer know if the app starts to crash for some reason. The Fabric app will also allow developers to control their notifications on a per-app level and each alert will come with an option to mute notifications for two hours. The app is available for Android and iOS.
The tracker within the Fabric app lists activity as texts that will allow developers to track the stability of their apps. They can also see additional details about any issue, including stack traces, to allow developers understand and figure solutions to bugs by the time they reach their desktops. It also shows the OS versions and the devices being affected, which should help narrow down the list of possible bugs.
