After hosting its WWDC, fans are excited about the upcoming iOS 18 update. Apple has announced many exciting features this time. Reportedly, out of the list of features that it had announced for iOS 18, it is adding another feature. This can be really helpful, it is the “Recovered” Photo album feature of the iPhone’s Photos app. Let’s find out what it has to offer.

What can this feature do?

As per a 9to5Mac report, this feature was spotted on the iOS 18 beta version. With this new feature, users will be able to see and recover previously damaged or lost images that are still stored on the device’s internal storage. This includes both photos and videos. The feature will be embedded in the Photos album, and the media files will be available in the new “Recovered” album, which exists alongside the existing “Recently Deleted” section.

Who can use this feature?

Currently available under the beta version, it will be available on the Photos app for select iPhones, iPads, and Macs that are eligible for the iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia updates when they actually roll out.

Once the new software updates are added to the devices, the feature will automatically scan for recoverable files.
