Telegram releases voice-to-text for video messages and 12 new emoji pack for Premium users
Telegram released two new features for Premium users.
The features include voice-to-text for video messages and new emoji packs.
All the features are available to Telegram users worldwide.
One of the most popular instant messaging services, Telegram, has released many new features for both its free and Premium users. The platform announced these features via a blog post on November 5, 2022. The update adds optics to organize discussions in large groups, a new form of collectible usernames based on blockchain technology, and an option to convert video messages to text. Here are all the details about the new Telegram features:
Telegram Premium now has voice-to-text for video messages
First, let's talk about the Premium-only features. Since the arrival of Telegram Premium, paying users have been able to convert any voice message to text. Now, Telegram has released Voice-to-Text for video messages, a feature that could help many users who do not like to view video messages or prefer texting. With the feature, users can generate an instant text-based transcript of any video message they receive. In addition, Premium subscribers get 12 new emoji packs that can be used in any message or caption.
Now, let's talk about the features that will be available for all Telegram users. To begin with, users in groups with over 200 members can now create Topics for discussing any subject. "Topics function as individual chats within the group – supporting their own shared media and notification settings." The group admins can enable topics in their Group Settings and control who can create and manage topics in Permissions.
Telegram users will now be able to assign multiple collectable usernames, ownership of which is secured by a supposedly fast and reliable blockchain network, TON. What's more interesting is that users can buy and sell these usernames. "Collectible usernames work just like basic @usernames; they appear in Global Search results and have their links that can be used outside of Telegram: username.t.me and t.me/username.
New interactive emojis and design improvements for all users
Telegram has added four new interactive emojis that play full-screen animations in one-to-one chats. The latest Telegram update comes with an improved Night Mode for iOS users and the ability to resize the text on Android. Last but not least, the update contains a few design improvements, including a new animation when users swipe left to reply and a new menu with several call options that emerge on tapping the phone number in users' profiles.
