‘StreetSafe’ Android application has been launched today on International Women’s Day. This Android app will safeguard women against crimes and will help in identifying as well as calling people to help in any situation.

According to the developers, ‘StreetSafe’ will help users get quick assistance in a dangerous situation. Users will be able to get help quickly with the four special ‘e-weapons’ that they can access by just tapping on the phone or clicking on the buttons in a predefined sequence.

Once the user clicks the button on Android device, these four special e-weapons will ensue – an automatic update will go on Facebook with your current location. Secondly, a recurring SMS will be sent to your pre-provisioned contacts with your current location and a preset message. Third, a loud alarm will start playing on the phone, which can be disabled only by you or by removing your phone battery. Lastly a call will be made to your pre-provisioned emergency contact number. This application has an easy power button and you can also choose which features you want on your phone.
