Spotify today introduced its new Jam feature. This feature is currently rolling out to all Spotify users globally. According to the company, Jam is a personalised, listening session which allows users to listen to shared playlists with their friends in real-time.
“Today we’re introducing Jam, a personalised, real-time listening session for your group to tune into together. Jam builds on some of our popular social features and combines them with our personalisation technology to take real-time listening with pals to the next level,” Spotify said in a blogpost.

It’s worth noting that even though only Premium subscribers can start a Jam, anyone on Spotify can join.
“Everyone in the Jam can add songs to the queue, see who added which song, and receive recommendations, all from their own devices,” the company said.
The host also has the ability to determine who’s in the Jam, change the order of the tracks, or remove a song that doesn’t fit the vibe.
Step 1: Open the Spotify app.
Step 2: Select the speaker icon at the bottom of your screen or hit the three-dot menu within a playlist, album, or song.
Step 3: Now, select the “Start a Jam” button.
Step 4: Invite your squad.
You can invite other users in three ways: 1. Turn on Bluetooth, then tap your phones together, 2. Have your friends scan the QR code on your host screen, or 3. Select “share” to send the link through social, text, SMS, and more
