Uber, the on-demand cab service, has tied up with Droom to provide a one-off free ride on an Audi R8 or a Hummer
Uber has tied up with Droom, an online car trading portal, to bring ‘Supercars on demand’. Users can hail an Audi R8 or a Hummer via the Uber app today, July 15, between 1pm and 4pm. What’s more, the ride comes free. It is a one-off opportunity for commuters to taste a rare bit of luxury on crowded roads.
Karun Arya, Uber’s Communication Lead of South Asia & India, stated via Uber’s official statement, “This is the first time we’re bringing #UberSUPERCARS to India, for real. Uber is all about providing amazing and unique experiences to its riders and this is one way of giving them an opportunity to sit back, relax and enjoy the supercar ride.”
To avail the offer, one needs to login via Uber’s app and connect their PayTM account to the app to register it. They can then shift the slider over to uberSUPERCARS, and hail one of the supercars in their area. However, we expect demands for this service to be extremely high, so the cars might be a bit hard to come by.
