Radio City 91.1 FM has become the first Indian radio network to tie up with Apple, providing thematic curated playlists to Apple Music users. Radio City claims that this tie-up will allow users to enjoy a world-class music experience through dynamic playlists curated by the FM channel in India.
The playlists will be curated by Radio City and will reflect six distinct themes. The playlists will be inspired by the FM channel’s own shows, ‘Love Guru’, ‘Radio City Top 25’, ‘Suno Na Dilli’ and ‘Kasa Kaay Mumbai’. The two remaining thematic playlists will include ‘Flashback Cassette’ and ‘Chillout Zone’ which will feature songs from the 80s, 90s, 2000s to the recent hits. As we observe from the wide variety of shows, the playlists will span across various genres. Radio city says that all playlists will be dynamic and regularly updated based on user preferences and current trends.
Radio city claims the playlists to be a rare fusion of Radio City’s well-researched and mood-mapped music, which will help analyze the genres and music styles preferred across different geographies. Users can find Radio City playlists by clicking on Radio City “Curators” in the “Playlists” section on the Browse tab on Apple Music or go to

Abraham Thomas, CEO of Radio City 91.1 FM said, “We are known for our well-researched and mood-mapped music. Curating playlists on Apple’s platform will help us utilize these strengths to offer our listeners content that enhances their music experience. Furthermore, the availability of our playlists on Apple Music will make it easier for our listeners to enjoy quality music on a device of their choosing, at a time and place of their convenience.”
