Following the demonetisation of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000 notes, the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has asked Indian citizens to share their opinion of the decision via the official Narendra Modi app. The app is hosting poll in which participants are asked questions regarding the ongoing demonetisation. In a tweet on his official twitter account, the Prime Minister said, “I want your first-hand view on the decision taken regarding currency notes. Take part in the survey on the NM App.”
The app is available for Android, iOS and Windows devices and to take part in the survey user’s will have to register. The registration process requires users to give their personal information such as name, email address, phone number, voter ID, and more. The poll will ask users to rate the move and answer questions such as “Did you mind the inconvenience faced in our fight to curb corruption, black money, terrorism, and counterfeiting of currency?”

The sudden demonetisation of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000 has resulted in long queues outside banks and ATMs and as a result, many people have tried going cashless. Digital wallets, such as Paytm have announced that it will not charge users any fee to transfer money from their wallet to their bank accounts.
