After goods and services, Blinkit, a popular quick commerce platform, now allows users to book ambulances through its app. The platform, which is known for delivering groceries, fashion items, stationery, and more, will now offer ambulance service in just 10 minutes. However, the service is currently only available in one city, with plans to expand to others in the coming months, according to Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa.
The customers can book the ambulance in emergency situations and Blinkit has promised that the ambulance will reach the person within 10 minutes. It is worth noting that the Blinkit ambulance service is in its testing phase. The services already live in Gurugram and the company is expected to add more areas soon.
In a post, Dhindsa also explained that each ambulance will have a paramedic, an assistant, and a trained driver along with a promise of affordability. Additionally, all the ambulances come equipped with essential life-saving equipment like oxygen cylinders, AED (Automated External Defibrillator), stretchers, monitors, suction machines, and medicines. He also promised that the service would be expanded to all parts of India in the next two years.
