With the Lumia 920 and 820, Nokia had introduced a handful of very useful camera extras that allowed people to take some really interesting photographs. What they also did simultaneously was make those using Windows Phone 7 devices rather envious. Nokia today has fixed this, by issuing an update for Windows Phone 7 devices of their brand that brings all these camera extras to the Nokia Lumia 510, 610, 710, 800 and 900.
Previously exclusive to Windows Phone 8, these extras include Smart Shoot, Action Shot, Panorama and self-shot feature, while the Cinemagraph shoots a few seconds short video and transforms in into an animated picture (gif). While the Panorama and Smart shoot features might come in really handy for those on vacations, the Cinemagraph feature has brought to cellphone photography a very innovative and unique style that has required photographers to really spend a considerable amount of time conceptualizing and planning. Now with the Cinemagraph app, all it takes is a single click to create a splendid looking gif file.
If you want to download the Camera Extras and Cinemagraph apps, you can either search for them in the Windows Marketplace or simply scan the barcode on this link. Do note that these apps will only work on devices that have updated to Windows Phone 7.8 OS, which should be rolling out right about now.
