Meta’s Threads recently surpassed 150 million monthly users. In a bid to boost engagement, the social media giant has launched a time-limited bonus program for Threads. Let’s delve into the details of this bonus program.

Meta has stated that invited creators will have “individualised” requirements for bonuses. Currently, the program is restricted to creators in the US. However, the company has expressed the possibility of expanding the initiative to other regions based on its success.

Meta’s support page outlines that invited creators are required to create a public Threads profile and adhere to the rules outlined in the Instagram creator incentive terms and program rules applicable to bonuses on Instagram.

The company specified that creators must meet certain criteria, including the performance of their Threads’ posts in terms of views and the number of posts, to qualify for bonuses.

The bonus program also has specific guidelines outlining the types of posts eligible for the program. For instance, a post must gain a minimum of 2,500 views to be considered.

Additionally, Threads posts containing copyrighted material, no text, or with artificially boosted views will not be eligible for bonuses. Also, the posts should not bear watermarks from other platforms such as TikTok or YouTube, and they should not be part of a brand partnership.

Creators can monitor their earnings through the professional dashboard, and they may need to earn a minimum amount to receive a payout.

“In some cases, you must earn a minimum amount to receive a bonus payout. If you don’t reach the minimum amount, you will not receive any bonus payout, but you may be invited to participate in another bonus opportunity in the future,” the company explains.
