MakeMyTrip launches Android and iOS apps
MakeMyTrip has announced the launch of mobile apps for Android devices and the iPhone, apart from an upgraded HTML 5-based Mobile Site for smartphones. Earlier, a Blackberry app for MakeMyTrip was available.

MakeMyTrip became one of the top 5 most-downloaded travel apps in India with only the Blackberry app on offer. This overwhelming response encouraged us to extend our product offering to other popular mobile platforms. With this launch, all smartphone users will now be able to have a seamless experience with MakeMyTrip through their devices.”
The MakeMyTrip app allows users to search and book flights. Passenger details are stored on the device to avoid having to type-in the details every time. Users can view booking details, make cancellations, request e-tickets and even track refunds.
The flight booking app boasts of fully secure and safe transactions and is supported by all modes of payment – credit and debit cards of all major banks as well as netbanking. The MakeMyTrip app also provides alerts on updated flight schedules; users can check the status of a flight with real time flight schedules. Users also receive details on exclusive travel deals and also get instant personalized deal notifications.
Other features of the MakeMyTrip app include itinerary-sharing via Facebook and Twitter; thereby enabling them to share instant travel updates. The app also uses the device’s GPS capabilities to find nearby restaurants.
These apps are available for free on the Google Play store and the Apple App Store.
