Meta-owned Instagram has started testing a new feature that will allow users to add polls in the comments sections of their posts or reels. This feature will offer creators a new way to engage with their followers.

Instagram head Adam Mosseri announced on his Broadcast Channel, “New test alert Have a question for your followers? We’re starting a small test to add a poll or vote on one in the comments of a feed post or reel. We’re always looking for new ways to interact with friends and creators. If you see this test, let us know what you think.”

Announcing this new feature, Meta Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that polls in the comments section will be rolled out to “everyone soon.”

In our opinion, the introduction of polls in the comments sections on Instagram will offer several benefits for users and creators. Polls will provide an interactive and engaging way for creators to connect with their followers. Also, creators will be able to gather real-time feedback from their audience. They can also ask questions, seek opinions, or conduct quick surveys to understand their followers’ preferences, interests, or feedback on specific topics or content.

Recently, Instagram started testing a feature that will allow users to share their stories to multiple audience lists. The ability to share your stories with multiple audience lists will allow you to create specific lists for different groups of people, such as Close Friends, family and colleagues. This way, you can share personal or sensitive content with only those you choose, ensuring a higher level of privacy.
