Instagram head Adam Mosseri today announced that the company has started testing a new feature that will allow users to share their stories to multiple audience lists. This feature is expected to enhance the user experience with increased control and customisation.
Mosseri wrote on his Instagram Broadcast Channel, “Today, we started testing the ability to share your stories to multiple audience lists.”

With this feature, you will be able to share your stories with smaller groups, giving you more control over who can see your stories.
In our opinion, the ability to share your stories with multiple audience lists offers several benefits. This feature will allow you to create specific lists for different groups of people, such as Close Friends, family and colleagues. This way, you can share personal or sensitive content with only those you choose, ensuring a higher level of privacy.
By categorising your followers into different lists, you will also be able to curate and tailor the content you share. For instance, you can share more personal or informal updates with your Close Friends list, while keeping your professional contacts on a separate list for more business-related content.
Sharing content with specific lists will also help you to avoid awkward situations. For example, you can share party photos and videos to your “Friends” list without worrying about professional contacts seeing them.
Overall, the ability to share stories with multiple audience lists will provide greater flexibility, privacy, and control over your social media content.
Mosseri recently announced that the social networking platform had started testing a feature for users to tag a location in Notes. He didn’t provide any further details about the feature, but he did share a screenshot of the new functionality. According to the screenshot, the tagged location will be displayed above the text in Notes, similar to how added music clips are shown
