Instagram now lets you add song lyrics to Reels: Here’s how

Meta-owned Instagram is rolling out the ability for users to add song lyrics when editing their Reels, similar to how they can on Stories. This will help Instagram users who enjoy adding a musical touch to their Reels.

Instagram head Adam Mosseri announced on his Broadcast Channel, “New feature alert. We’re rolling out a way to add song lyrics when editing your reels, just like you can on Stories.”

Mosseri also said that many people manually add lyrics to Reels, so he hopes that this feature makes it easier to use music.

How to add song lyrics on Instagram Reels

Step 1: Open the Instagram app.

Step 2: Create a reel and tap the Music icon.

Step 3: Now select a song that you want to add to your reel.

Step 4: Swipe left to add lyrics.
