Instagram is currently facing an outage, impacting thousands of users globally, including many in India. Reports of the issue surged as users struggled to access the platform. On Downdetector, a popular online outage monitoring site, over 1,500 users reported problems. Among those affected, 70 percent reported issues with the app, while 16 percent reported problems with server connection, and 14% were unable to log into their account.
The outage has generated significant frustration among users who depend on Instagram for communication, entertainment, and social interaction. Many users took to X (formerly Twitter) to voice their concerns, highlighting the platform’s role in their daily lives.
Despite numerous complaints and the global disruption caused by the outage, Instagram has yet to issue an official statement addressing the matter (as of this writing).
