Instagram could soon let you choose specific days to activate ‘Quiet Mode’: Know more
Instagram introduced its Quiet mode earlier this year.
Quiet mode allows you to automatically pause your Instagram notifications every day during the time period you choose.
Now, Instagram is reportedly working on a feature to allow users to choose which days to activate the Quiet mode.
Meta-owned Instagram introduced Quiet mode earlier this year to help users focus and to encourage them to set boundaries with their friends and followers. Since its launch, this feature has become quite popular among users. Now, it seems like Instagram is trying to improve the Quiet mode.
App researcher Alessandro Paluzzi revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that Instagram is working on a new feature for its Quiet mode which will likely allow users to choose which days to activate this mode.

Some people might have busier days or certain periods when they need more focus and less social media interaction. Allowing users to set Quiet mode on specific days will likely empower them to adapt Instagram usage to their changing needs.

What is Instagram’s Quit mode?
Quiet mode allows you to automatically pause your Instagram notifications every day during the time period you choose. The default setting is every night from 11 PM to 7 AM. However, you can edit these hours.
When you’re in quiet mode, you can still use Instagram and send and receive messages. Your activity status will change to “In quiet mode,” and the green active dot will change to a moon icon. People who message you will get an auto-reply that explains you won’t be notified about their messages during this time.
When quiet mode ends, you’ll get a summary of any new notifications or messages you received while you were in quiet mode.
How to turn Instagram’s Quiet mode ON or OFF
Step 1: Open the Instagram app.
Step 2: Tap your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
Step 3: Now, tap the three horizontal lines in the top right.
Step 4: Select the Settings and privacy option.
Step 5: Tap on the Notifications option.
Step 6: Now, select Quiet mode.
Step 7: You can now tap the toggle next to Quiet mode to turn it on or off.
