For over eight million monthly paying individual users, Google Workspace is increasing the free cloud storage from 15GB to 1TB. For reference, that is more than 60 times the storage Workspace Individual users were getting. They can get 1TB of cloud storage at the current Workspace Individual pricing (which will soon cost $10 a month). The increased storage space will help Google Workspace Individual users store, access and collaborate on more files than ever. Not just that, Google is expanding the service to more markets like Philippines, the Netherlands, Portugal, Belgium, Finland, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Greece, and Argentina.

Individual Workspace users to enjoy increased cloud storage

Google Workspace Individual users do not have to do anything to get 1TB of free cloud storage. They can keep using the service, and Google will automatically upgrade their cloud storage limit from 15GB to 1TB.

While 15GB is too less for some people, 1TB will allow users to store heavy multimedia files, documents such as PDFs, and other work-related stuff on their Google account. All the data stored in Google's cloud storage is accessible from anywhere.

In the official blog post, Google says, "as you grow your business, it's only natural that you'll have more docs, data, and digital assets to manage and store, and Google Drive allows you to do so securely from any device." Users should not confuse Google Workspace subscription with Google One.

Don’t confuse Google Workspace with Google One

Workspace is a suite of synchronised Google apps for business owners, Google One is a subscription-based cloud storage plan. Although Google does provide all users with 15GB of free cloud storage, and they can upgrade by purchasing a Google One subscription, only some users operate via Google Workspace.

Google is also releasing mail merge tags like @firstname to multi-send emails so that each recipient receives a unique email that feels individually crafted just for them. "We're also launching Google Workspace Individual in a number of new countries and regions: the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, the Netherlands, Portugal, Belgium, Finland, Greece and Argentina."
