Google Pay has introduced digital gift cards under the business tab. Google has joined up with a partner store called Woohoo. A company called Qwikcilver has listed its consumer brand Woohoo on Google Pay’s spot platform and allows users to choose gift cards from over 150 brands. The gift cards can be used across 1500 major cities offline and on major online portals as well.

You can share the gift cards from the virtual Woohoo store in real-time over SMS or email. Some of the major brands that users can choose to buy gift cards for are Flipkart, BigBasket, Amazon, Myntra, and more.

Users can access the virtual gift card store on Google Pay by searching for Woohoo on the app. Users do not have to sign up separately on the Woohoo platform as their Google Pay number is linked to Woohoo and just asks for a confirmation to access your mobile number when opening Woohoo for the first time.

“While Qwikcilver has enabled Woohoo digital gift card store as a preferred destination for consumers, the presence on Google Pay will enhance consumer experience to use digital gifting with a click of a button,” said Kumar Sudarsan, President – Gift, Prepaid and Stored Value, Pine Labs.

Customers availing digital gift cards on the Google Pay platform have an introductory offer of availing a cashback of up to Rs 500 for first time users. Qwikcilver is owned by Pine Labs and lists them as a gifting company that also issues coupons and digital currency on the Amazon.in platform for cashback and coupons.
