Meru claims it is the first cab service in India to partner with Google for Google Now integration.

Google has just updated its Google Now with support for third party apps. Google Now has also integrated Meru Cabs, which has become the first cab service in India to do so. The integration means users can have reminders for cab pickups, notifications, and other necessary cab service related information via the Google Now on Android.

Announcing the launch, Mr. Rathin Lahiri, Chief Marketing Officer, Meru Cabs says, “At Meru Cabs, it is always our endeavour to constantly explore and develop innovative technology solutions that benefit our end consumers.  With Meru Cab’s integration on the Google app, customers on the go can now tap into a seamless and good quality cab experience.  We are proud to be the first Indian cab service to offer this feature in partnership with Google.”

Recently Meru introduced a new mobile app, which has features like one touch booking, tracking your cab, confirmed booking up to 7 days in advance and India’s first Cab-Wallet. The Cab-Wallet feature in the Meru Cabs App can be used to pay for the trip. Customers register and load money into the app via credit card, debit card, or through net banking. By this payment facility, passengers can simply walk out at the end of the trip & payment will be made automatically. The Meru Mobile App is currently India’s top rated and leading cab app in the travel segment of almost every app platform.
