Google is rolling out a new feature for its Maps app on Android that lets users add multiple destinations to their route. The feature can be accessed by tapping on the options button on the top right corner of the screen, and then selecting “Add a stop” to the route. Users can then type in the location as they normally would. They can also search for places such as restaurants to add to their route. Users will be able to add multiple locations to their route and also rearrange the order of stops. Once all the stops are added, users can tap Done, and Google Maps will figure out the best possible route. The company says that the update will available for iOS devices soon.

Liz Davidoff, Communications Manager, Google Maps said in a blog post, “When you enter navigation mode you’ll have the same seamless driving experience you’re used to, whether you’re going from errand to errand or hitting scenic spots along Route 66.”

Google also added new features under the Your Timeline option for users who have Location History enabled. These users will now be able to add notes to the timeline as a reminder of what they did on a specific day. This feature essentially transforms the timeline into a journal, where users will be able to know where they were and what they did on any particular date.
