In a Workspace Updates blogpost, Google announced three updates for Google Drive for better search experience.

Google will now simplify how you access query filters in Google Drive on iOS by introducing filter categories that are accessible directly below the search bar and include filters for File Type, Owners and Last modified.

Also, Google Drive will now show you relevant query filters as you type your query, allowing you to easily select a filter and saving you the time and effort of typing out the full search.
The tech giant is also adding the option to further refine your search after reaching the search results page.
It’s important to note that these updates are rolling out to Google Workspace customers, Google Workspace Individual subscribers, and users with personal Google accounts using iOS devices. These updates will be available on Android soon.
The new features are currently rolling out, so if you haven’t received them yet just wait a little while.
