Let’s delve into the new Chrome updates.
Real-time protection through Safe Browsing
Safe Browsing already keeps over 5 billion devices safe worldwide. It defends against stuff like fake websites, harmful software, and other sneaky things
Previously, the Standard protection mode of Safe Browsing only checked if a website or file was dangerous using a list stored on your device. But this list was only updated every 30 to 60 minutes. Google found out that most harmful sites don’t last that long — usually less than 10 minutes!
So now, if you’re using Chrome on your desktop or iPhone, the Standard protection mode will check sites against Google’s server-side list of known bad sites in real-time. If it thinks a site might be risky, it’ll give you a warning with more details. By doing this in real-time, Google expects that it can stop 25 percent more phishing attempts.
It’s worth noting that the new capability uses encryption and other privacy-enhancing techniques to make sure that no one, including Google, knows what website you’re visiting.
This new capability will also roll out to Android later this month.

Updates to Password Checkup
Password Checkup on iOS also got an update. Now, in addition to flagging compromised passwords, it will flag weak and reused passwords, too.
Google Chrome will display an alert whenever it detects an issue with a password you’ve entered, but you can check your passwords any time by visiting Safety Check in Chrome Settings.
