Photomoji feature

Photomoji

Photomoji allows you to transform your photos into reactions with the help of on-device Google AI. Simply select the photo, choose the object you’d like to turn into a Photomoji and hit send. The creations will be saved in a special tab for reuse and even your friends in group chats will be able to use your sent Photomoji.

Voice Moods feature

Voice Moods and improved audio quality

Voice Moods feature revolutionises the way users express emotions through voice messaging. With nine different emotions to choose from, your voice can sprinkle heart-eye emoji, fume with fireballs or break out the party popper so the recipient can hear your words along with a visual effect that expresses how you’re feeling at that moment.

Also, Google has improved the overall audio quality of voice messages by increasing the bitrate and sampling rate.

Screen Effects feature

Screen Effects

With Screen Effects, you can make your messages come alive with vibrant animations that will transform your words into visual displays. You just have to type specific messages like “it’s snowing” or “I love you” and your screen will erupt in a symphony of colours and motion.

Custom Bubbles

The Custom Bubbles feature allows you to customise the bubble colour and backgrounds of your conversation and the person you’re communicating with.

Reaction Effects

Now, if you react to a message with a simple thumbs-up emoji, the new Reaction Effects feature will add an animated trio of hands dancing around the message bubble.

Animated Emoji

This feature adds life to the emojis. For example, if you are replying to a friend with a sparkling heart emoji, you’ll unleash an Animated Emoji that sparkles with a dazzling pink heart to properly express your excitement.

Profiles

With Profiles, you have the power to personalise your profile name and picture that accompanies your phone number. This addresses the problem of receiving messages from phone numbers not saved in your contacts, which can be particularly useful in group chats so that you know who all the other participants in the group are.

It’s important to note that it might be possible that you have not yet received access to these features as Google said that “many of these new features rolling out to beta.”
