Foursquare is now available for Nokia's S40-based feature phone users.

Foursquare has introduced a new application for Nokia’s S40 phones, including the new Asha series. The app will be pre-loaded on new Asha phones worldwide when they are rolled out in the market in coming months.

“Today, we’re releasing an all-new Foursquare app for the full range of Nokia’s S40 phones, including all the new Asha devices. Hundreds of millions of people around the world use Nokia S40 phones, and now they’ll all have access to Foursquare. Now, all those people can use Foursquare to make the most of where they are and where they’re going,” says Foursquare in a blog post.

S40 users can download the app update here.

Nokia’s smart feature phone series, Asha, is doing pretty well. The company recently revealed it had sold 1.5 billion units of S40 phones. While most of the manufacturers are focussing on the smartphone segment, Nokia has continued to ramp up its feature phone offering. Its Asha series is already popular in the emerging countries like India.
