Forget reels, Instagram now lets select users schedule DMs: Here’s how

Instagram, a popular social media platform, is testing a new feature that will allow users to schedule messages. The new feature will allow users to schedule the time they want to send a message to someone. The feature will be added to the existing ability to schedule posts, reels, and other content.

The Meta-owned social media platform has not confirmed the new feature at the time of writing this article. However, many Android users now see the feature to schedule messages. Instagram Schedule Message feature: How to use

We have tried the Instagram schedule message features on a few Android devices and based on our usage, here’s how you can schedule your Instagram DMs:

1. Open the chat box and input whatever message you wish to send to the other person.
2. After typing, press the send button for a few seconds, and a new scheduling screen will display.
3. You can now choose the exact time you want your message to be sent.
4. After successfully scheduling the messages, a new pop-up with ‘1 scheduled message’ appears above the Message bar.
5. At the scheduled time, the message will be automatically transmitted to the other person.

If you use the social networking site late at night, you may receive notifications like, “It’s late.” Consider scheduling your message to be sent later. Tap and hold the Send button to schedule it.”

It’s worth noting that Instagram hasn’t disclosed any specifics regarding the function or its rollout. While the feature is presently available for a restricted group of Android users, we anticipate that it will be made available to all Android and iOS devices in the coming weeks.
