Facebook for WP8 updated with new photo features, languages

Microsoft has rolled out yet another update to its Facebook app for WP8 platform in an effort to bring the app experience closer to its iOS and Android counterpart.

Facebook for Windows Phone 8 has received a major update. Version 5.1 includes a slew of new features such as support for more languages and improvements related to photos.

With the latest update, Facebook for Windows Phone 8 now supports a total of 19 languages. Moreover, users can now attach pictures to messages and also upload them in batches.

“Are you feeling so over someone or something? You can now “unfriend” and “unlike” right from the palm of your hand. Finally, you’ll find inline @tagging, navigation improvements, and performance tweaks to make checking-in and posting to Facebook faster and easier. Don’t have the app yet? Last round of update to Facebook for WP8 platform a range of bug fixes, performance boosts and support for devices with 256MB of RAM.

Microsoft had rolled out a revamped Facebook app for WP8 and WP 7.x earlier this year. However, the app then could only support devices with 512MB of RAM. The update allowed users of the Nokia Lumia 510 and 610 to access Facebook.
